We had another gorgeous unseasonably warm day here. The usual pair of great horned owls returned a few days ago, and they are keeping an eye on my remaining wild cat Kona as she goes back and forth to the neighbors. It makes me nervous, as I lost my beloved wild cat Hawaii last year to unknown circumstances, and those owls were here then too…….people tell me that owl’s don’t eat cats, but I have personally seen one owl pick up one big cat and we found the remains on the ground under the tree the next morning.  So, I feel I have good reason to be concerned about my white cat. Kona is the mother to the four kittens I hand raised this last year. Hawaii is their father and they are all growing into wonderful cats – which I will tell you about in another post.
